Nov 6th & Dec 4th: When you hear “Word Perv” what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Whatever you’re imagining may very well be something that you’ll see on Sterling Stage the first Wednesday of each month. Word Perv is a storytelling and variety show that explores the dynamic themes of gender and sexuality. You’ll see performers and non-performers alike share their personal experiences on how these universal themes have shaped their lives.
Nov 12th: Join the Jewel Box Dancers for a wander through the magical forest, fueled by MENAHT (Raqs Sharqi) and fusion bellydance. Crow girls, fanciful fauns, shimmering Mermaids, and creatures of the woodland frolic and shimmy in this delightful showcase! This mid-week indulgence features delightful performances by the Queenie, Alyssa, Lily, Devin Alfather, Kimberly Larkspur, Rynice Hanson, and more! Live drum jam at the end of the performance for anyone who wants to participate! Bring your own drum or percussion instruments (such as finger cymbals) or join us to dance in the circle, hafla style. Show will run for 1.5 hours with the drum jam, for those planning their Tuesday evening around a working week. All seats are General Admission,. There will be a simple bar and Non Alcoholic concessions available, as well as light snacks. A silent auction benefiting Camp Breakerz will help raise funds for relocating children on the Gaza Strip. As if that’s not enough, we’re keeping the vibes going with an 80s music video show that’ll transport you back to the days when music videos ruled the airwaves. Sip on specialty cocktails from our full bar and grab some tasty bites as you dance, sing, and relive the magic of 80s music. Don’t miss this totally rad throwback event!
